Valentine's Day

Image
It's been a sweet day. Ed gave me a neat watch from St. Jude that I saw and admired when I had lunch with him yesterday and we went to the gift shop. I gave him candy, flowers, and a singing balloon. Yep, that's right, I said a singing balloon. What will they think of next? If you hit it just right it plays "You're Still the One." I especially like the line "We're still having fun, and you're still the one!" We are and he is! I also got these cute photo email cards from the grands. What precious children!

Ronnie Milsap!

We got to go to BPACC last night and see Ed's all-time favorite singer, Ronnie Milsap. Ed even got to talk with him about ameteur radio (RM is also a "ham" radio operator.). And since Ed had written him a letter before he came, the band said Howdy to Ed from the stage. It was a great show and I didn't realize I know as many of his songs as I do (Smokey Mountain Rain, What a Difference You've Made in My Life, etc.). Fun times!

Tuesday Tornadoes

We didn't have any damage to our house, but we do know folks who did in Jackson. We did take shelter under a mattress in our inside hallway when the weatherman said Bartlett was in the path. Before that though, we saw one of the first "rotating clouds" of the storm as it swept less than a 1/2 mile from our house. Here's the picture.

GRANDCHILDREN...

Image
I always enjoy seeing new photos of these precious children, especially when I can't see them in person. The one of Ian, Evelynn, Jess (and even Stuckey) was taken to send their other grandmother Brenda when she was in the hospital having heart surgery last week. This photo really captures their personalities. The one of Adelaide (she's wearing a dress that Evelynn wore when she was about her age) was taken as she was trying to decide which "soothie" (pacifier) to use. The whole sequence is really cute and funny. Drea takes such great photos of her. When I look at these I just ache to see them all. Maybe soon. I just thank God for these blessings.
